Is it Wednesday already?

Just lost 2 days somehow!  I guess it's because this happened.....
this bright light appeared in the sky and lured us out to sit by the pool and read books.

We've made up for all that lounging around with a frenetic afternoon today - needing a bit of a lie down, to be quite honest.  We knew that we had a rendez-vous at the airport with Holly, Nathaniel and Summer late this afternoon but then we were thrown a 'task' by Becky to get some documents printed and posted to a place in Florida where she is going to visit someone and it all needs to be approved in advance....

First challenge was getting stuff printed... we confidently approached the Happimag office (Swedish tour operator) near the entrance to Lake Berkley and sure enough we could use the internet and print for free.  Excellent!  All was going well until we got to a Word document (the system was Apple)  It refused to print it... things got worse as all the dialogue boxes were in Swedish.  Now, you'd think if you worked for a Swedish company you might speak a bit of Swedish, but the ladies in the office hadn't a clue, so I had to guess... that didn't work.  With some to-ing and fro-ing with Becky on email we got a version I could print from an email rather than a doc and all was well.

Next task, find a US Post Office...  car sat nav refused to recognise anything that looked like Post Office, 'spare' sat nav was great but then half way there (as a result of that thing in the sky that I mentioned) started putting out messages about the battery being too hot and closing down.  Nooooooo!

US Post offices are never conveniently placed or where you expect them to be... this was no different. They are also always busy. I must confess I was perspiring a little by this time, despite the air con, knowing that we wanted to be at the airport by about 4pm and it was getting near 3.  Walked in through the door... queue of about 30 people with 2 laid back members of staff on duty.....  Aware that John was, by now, fretting in the (hot) car.... I took my life in my hands and used an automated machine that printed a bar code and told me my letter would be delivered on Friday.  Good enough for me.  Hopefully to the right place... ( I have a receipt somewhere Becky!)

On to the airport with 'dead' sat nav in my bag cooling down and car sat nav preferring to go on the most roundabout route possible.  Now confident that my own mental maps of Orlando are better than hers, we got there... but then, of course there's the key question of whether we should be in terminal A or B... arghhhh!  sweating again.  As it happens, it really doesn't matter which terminal you head for in Orlando as everything is built around a big square of shops and concessions with A in one corner and B in the opposite.  (Didn't know that at the time we were panicking about left or right at the fork!)

We didn't have to wait too long and eventually off the shuttle came some tired looking folk....You'd think that would be enough for one day... I'll tell you about the 'small car' that Avis offered Holly tomorrow, perhaps... meanwhile, tired people are now in bed and sleeping and all is quiet.....
