Size matters....

 

So, yes, Holly had booked a Ford Focus... a reasonable sized family car.  What she was given first was a BMW 6 series with bells and whistles and no ignition key or anything that looked at all familiar.  That was all a bit much.  They eventually returned from the airport with this slightly lesser BMW.  As you can see, next to our monster, it's definitely a smaller sized car!  Several practice goes later, it doesn't seem so big at all...  There's still room on the drive for your Fiat 500 Becky!

The first pool competition (with random rules) has been won by myself and Summer - no surprises there then, on the basis that I can see balls that are moving away from me rather than those coming towards me!  I was actually cooking dinner at the time so Holly was my stand in... as you can see, she was eager...

Meanwhile, in the 'other' pool, Grandpa has been put to work diving for treasure - all very energetic for us!

Had to share this story in the Orlando Sentinel yesterday, since Becky was asking if she could do shooting whilst here...  Yesterday was the opening of the bear shooting season in Florida.  No, I didn't know they had bears either.  Clearly 'rocker' Ted Nugent took time out from his 'searing guitar riffs' to get himself a licence and I assume he already has plenty of guns.  Becky, maybe you could look him up and see if he needs any PR help after this.. with catchy tunes like Cat Scratch Fever and Wango Tango in his repertoire, he could be a gold mine

 We've been here almost a week - feels like forever already - in a good way.  We've a lot to learn tho about living in the USA - simple things... turned out I insured Becky's 'letter' for $100 - easily done!  I'm sure the contents were worth it.
